01Our commitment

Taveo Chasse de tête inc. (“Taveo”, “we”) is an executive search firm specializing in the recruitment of managers and senior executives. Confidentiality is at the heart of what we do: every day we handle the personal information of candidates, clients and visitors to our website, and we protect it with the same care as our mandates.

This policy explains, in plain terms, what personal information we collect, why, how we protect it and what your rights are. It is established in accordance with Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as modernized by Law 25.

02Person in charge of the protection of personal information

The person in charge of the protection of personal information at Taveo is:

Dominic Martel
President and Founder
Address
1020 rue Bouvier, suite 400, Québec, QC G2K 0K9

You may contact him with any question about this policy, to exercise your rights or to file a complaint.

03The information we collect

The information we collect depends on your relationship with us:

  • If you are a candidate: name and contact information, résumé, professional background and education, salary expectations, interview and assessment results, professional references, and any information you choose to share with us during a recruitment process.
  • If you are a client or represent a client organization: name, title, business contact information and information related to the mandate entrusted to us.
  • If you visit our website: the information you voluntarily provide through our forms (name, email, organization), in particular to download our guides or book a call, as well as certain technical browsing data described in section 8.

We only collect the information needed for the purposes described below, and we do not collect any personal information from minors.

04Why we use it

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • Carrying out the recruitment mandates entrusted to us, including the search, assessment and presentation of candidates;
  • Communicating with you during a recruitment process or a business relationship;
  • Sending you the documents you request (guides, evaluation grids) and, if you consent, occasional communications from Taveo;
  • Scheduling the calls and meetings you request;
  • Meeting our legal and contractual obligations.

We do not use your information for any other purpose without your consent, and we never sell your personal information.

05Your consent

We collect your information with your consent, given at the time of collection: when you send us your application, fill out a form, download a guide or book a call.

A specific case in our line of work

Before presenting your application to a client organization, we obtain your consent. No candidate profile is ever sent to a client without the candidate being informed and having consented. Likewise, we only contact your references with your agreement.

You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to applicable legal or contractual restrictions, by writing to info@taveo.ca.

06Disclosure to third parties

Your information may be disclosed to the following third parties, to the extent necessary:

  • Our client organizations: as part of a recruitment mandate, with your consent, as described in section 5;
  • Our technology service providers: website hosting, applicant tracking platform, appointment scheduling tool and business email. These providers only access the information needed for their services and are required to protect it;
  • Authorities: when required by law.

Some of our providers may store information outside Québec. Before communicating personal information outside Québec, we assess, in accordance with the law, whether it will receive adequate protection there, particularly in light of generally recognized principles of personal information protection.

07Confidentiality of mandates

Discretion is an integral part of our services. When a mandate requires it, neither our client's identity nor the nature of the position is disclosed to candidates before the appropriate stage of the process. Conversely, your steps as a candidate remain confidential: we never disclose your interest in an opportunity to your current employer.

08Cookies and browsing data

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure it works properly and to measure traffic in aggregate form. When technologies that can identify, locate or profile a visitor are used, we inform you and offer you the means to disable them.

You may also set your browser to refuse cookies; the website will remain functional, except possibly for certain form or appointment booking features.

09Retention and destruction

We keep your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, then securely destroy or anonymize it in accordance with the law.

For candidates: with your consent, your profile may be kept in our talent pool so that we can offer you future opportunities. You may ask for it to be removed at any time.

10Security measures

We apply reasonable security measures proportionate to the sensitivity of the information we hold: access limited to the people who need it to perform their duties, account authentication and protection, encryption of communications on our website, and training of our team in the protection of personal information.
